Topic: Reciprocity and Social Responsibility

Leaders harness resources and enjoy goodwill in their domain of influence. It is expected that a leader should give back to the people and demonstrate social responsibility in the environment where he/she operates. From the inspiration scripture, when Abraham started succeeding, Abimelech reminded him of the need to reciprocate the goodwill he has shown him. In addition to kindness to his family, he also required Abraham to contribute to the progress of the land where his business has thrived. Doing this will help to ward off threats and foster good relationships for the sustainability of success.

A leader can reciprocate in the environment through social responsibility in the environment by:

* Initiating projects that can benefit the present and incoming generations

* Promoting maternal and pre-natal healthcare in the environment

* Promoting education and scholarships among school drop-outs

* Providing security infrastructure in the community
